Restoration
Over time, exterior plastic trim takes a beating from the sun and the elements. UV exposure and oxidation draw out the natural oils and plasticizers that keep the material flexible and rich in color. As these protective components break down, the trim begins to look dull, chalky, and faded, eventually becoming brittle and prone to cracking.
Our Plastic Trim Coating is specially formulated to restore and protect your vehicle’s plastic surfaces. It penetrates deep into the material to rejuvenate color, reviving that rich, dark, factory-new appearance. Once cured, it forms a durable, UV-resistant barrier that locks in the restored finish and seals out future damage from sunlight, moisture, and oxidation.
Unlike temporary dressings, this coating bonds to the surface for long-lasting protection and a true restoration, keeping your trim looking newer for longer.
Directions:
- Clean your camper as you regularly would, with the caveat of avoiding the use of ceramic/wax infused products for this process.
- Use the included de-greaser. Apply to the included towel or your own cloth, thoroughly clean off any residue and wipe off with the dry side.
- Mask off the panels around the trim to avoid smudges.
- Using a few drops at a time, apply the coating to your trim, ensuring full coverage.
- Allow to dry for 4-6 hours before driving. The coating is fully cured in 12 hours.
Maintenance
- The coating is generally maintenance-free and will last at least 2 years.
- To boost gloss and the hydrophobic lotus-effect, wash with QP-ON Ceramic Shampoo.
